Unlike traditional venue hire methods that involve lengthy negotiations, hidden costs, and uncertainty, GoVenue provides a seamless and transparent platform where you can find the perfect space with just a few clicks. Our system ensures that all listings are verified, with clear descriptions and upfront pricing, so you know exactly what you're booking.

How It Works for Guests

Every booking you make as a Guest includes our GoVenue Guarantee, a simple 10% fee which covers all booking fees and ensures your reservation is protected. If any of the following issues occur, you're covered:

  1. The venue isn't open on time.
  2. Facilities or amenities are significantly different from those advertised.
  3. Venue cleanliness or safety standards are unacceptable.
  4. The Host cancels the booking on you.

If you have any issues during your stay, you must raise any concerns within 48 hours after your booking concludes.

Host Responsibilities

For a venue costing £100:

  1. Venue hire: £100
  2. Go Venue Guarantee Fee (10%): £10
  3. Total cost to you: £110

The GoVenue Guarantee fee provides you with peace of mind and includes all associated booking fees.

If no issues are raised within 48 hours, the booking is considered complete, and payment is released to the host within 7 days.

Failure by either party to adhere to GoVenue’s final decision may result in removal from the marketplace.

What is the GoVenue Guarantee, and how does it protect my booking?

The GoVenue Guarantee protects your booking by ensuring the venue matches the listing, is open on time, and meets basic standards of cleanliness, safety, and amenities. It covers you in case any issues arise, providing a clear process for resolution and refund where applicable.

What happens once I raise an issue about my booking—how quickly will GoVenue respond?

Initially, we encourage the guest and host to resolve the issue directly within 48 hours. If no resolution can be reached during this time, the issue is escalated to the GoVenue Resolution Team. They will review the information provided by both parties and make a final, binding decision within 72 hours.

What happens if I or the host need to cancel my booking—am I eligible for a refund under the GoVenue Guarantee?

Cancellation and refund policies vary according to each host’s individual terms, so please review these carefully before making a booking. If your host cancels the booking, you'll automatically receive a full refund, including the GoVenue Guarantee fee.

Please note, the GoVenue Guarantee specifically covers issues regarding venue access, accuracy of the description, and venue safety. It does not cover voluntary cancellations made by guests.

What if the Host cancels my booking at the last minute?

If your Host cancels your booking unexpectedly, you’ll receive a full refund (including the GoVenue Guarantee fee). Our team can also assist you in finding an alternative venue, subject to availability.

Can I trust GoVenue's decision if there's a dispute with the Host?

Yes. GoVenue acts as an impartial mediator and carefully reviews each dispute. Our final decision is unbiased and based strictly on evidence provided by both parties, ensuring a fair resolution.
